Grand Riverkeeper Labrador Call for Board Members

Are you passionate about Labrador, environmental stewardship, water protection, research, education, or community leadership? We would love to have you join us! 

Grand Riverkeeper Labrador (GRKL) is seeking dedicated and community-minded individuals to join its Board of Directors.

GRKL is a Labrador-based environmental non-profit organization committed to protecting the Grand (Churchill) River watershed and advancing public awareness, research, education, and environmental stewardship throughout Labrador.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome applicants no matter where you are. We welcome individuals with a variety of skills, backgrounds and expertise and share our vision

Previous board experience is helpful but not required.

Board Member Responsibilities

Board members are expected to:

  • Attend regular board meetings (virtual and/or in person)
  • Support the mission and objectives of GRKL
  • Participate in organizational planning and decision-making
  • Assist with outreach, fundraising, and strategic initiatives
  • Act in the best interests of the organization and the communities it serves

GRKL encourages applications from Indigenous peoples, youth, Elders, women, and individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities throughout Labrador.
